Week 1 – The Journey Begins
Yesterday as I mapped out my daily schedule it seemed onerous and I thought “how am I to find the time for all the other important things to be done?”
But I promise to do these things consistently, everyday. And I always keep my promises.
Most importantly I keep my promises to myself.
“And this above all, to thine own self be true. And it must follow as the night the day- thou canst not then be false to any man.”
Polonius in 'Hamlet' (Shakespeare)
At midnight I finished the tasks of creating my schedule and the skeleton of this website. I began to read The Master Key once more. Sitting quietly afterwards I nearly fell asleep.
The last thing I did was read Scroll 1 before turning out the lights.
My mind was racing. I did not sleep well.
This morning as I read Scroll 1, I realized the resistance I feel are the old habits fighting to retain control. So “I will commence my journey unencumbered with the weight of uneccessary knowledge or the handicap of meaningless experience.”
Old results and feelings silently take control
No words are spoken. Old results and feelings silently take control. Realizing this, is the FIRST step to changing and taking control of my mind, and subsequently, my life.
The NEXT step is making changes in what I habitually think and thus do.
I am in the process of forming GOOD HABITS. To make room for new habits that will SERVE me, I must get rid of old habits since “only a habit can subdue another habit.
As for time, as Mark reminded us, if I don’t think I have time now, when do I think I will I ever have time to do it over? How about right now!
I Am Doing It Over
Well I AM doing it over now. I’ve been through the goal setting and massive action routine too many times to want to count. All with the same results.
But I find a new perspective here.
I read ‘Think and Grow Rich’ and I see new things… or I see them in new ways. And they suddenly make sense.
My new life NOW begins. These are the early beginnings.
Stay tuned for the next chapter.
